About us
I'm Tasha, a Colorado native who recently relocated to Oklahoma. Here at The Poodle Co, we specialize in raising genetically and temperament tested poodles and doodles. Our family of eight, including six children, lovingly cares for and socializes these wonderful companions in our own home (Not in a kennel). We take great pride in breeding healthy and well-balanced dogs, ensuring that they are the perfect addition to any family. With our expertise and dedication, we are committed to providing the best possible experience for both our puppies and their future owners.
Our dogs enjoy the freedom of roaming on a spacious five-acre area, where they have the opportunity to interact with various farm animals, other dogs, and people of all ages, including children. We prioritize their health and well-being by maintaining a strict routine of regular cleaning and worming schedules to prevent common puppy illnesses. Their food, grooming products, and general care are carefully chosen to ensure they stay healthy and happy in their environment.

When you choose a puppy from The Poodle Company, you can have peace of mind knowing you are getting a healthy and well-cared-for companion.
Empowered breeding is a method created and used by Jeanette Forrey. This method of dog breeding prioritizes the overall well-being of the animals involved. It entails selecting dogs for breeding based on their physical and mental health, as well as their genetic traits. This approach aims to produce healthy offspring with desirable characteristics while avoiding genetic disorders or other health issues. By focusing on the health and welfare of the dogs, empowered breeding promotes responsible and ethical practices within the breeding community.

What is Empowered Breeding?
We start all our puppies on the BAB puppy curriculum at 3 days old until they come home to you! By intentionally handling puppies from a young age, they become comfortable being touched and groomed, making them easier to handle as adults. Exposure to new stimuli helps puppies become familiar and comfortable with various environments, noises, and experiences, reducing the likelihood of fear or anxiety later in life. This curriculum also promotes positive social interactions with people and other animals, teaching puppies how to interact appropriately and develop important social skills. Ultimately, the Badass Breeder puppy-raising curriculum aims to produce well-rounded and confident dogs which we think it does oh so well!
By the time you receive your new puppy, they are kennel trained, beginning potty training (potty trays from 4 weeks to 6 weeks at which time they begin going outside on a regular schedule!) have had many different people handle them, been groomed regularly, desensitized to sounds (fire works, screaming babies, household appliances etc), ridden in cars, been to the vet and are totally UTD on shots and worming.
We are here to set up you and our puppies for success!
